10 day hiking tour of the Peruvian Andes with camping

*More glamping than camping as the Peruvian guide transports and sets up all equipment except your back pack and prepares all the food. All you have to do is take in the beautiful scenery and follow his lead.

Day 1: Arrive in Cusco, Peru, Visit Cusco’s Plaza de Arms
Day 2: Sacred Valley, Visit Pisaq, Ollantaytambo, Gear check
Day 3: Cusco Day Tour, Isquchaca Market, Tarawasi, Mollepato
Day 4: 5 miles, 5 hours. Cusco/Moarcocasa (12,500’) /Soraypampa
Day 5: 7 miles, 7 hours. Visit Humanity Lake, Shaman ceremony, trek from Soraypampa to Soyrococha
Day 6: 10 miles, 9 hours, trek over Salkantay Pass (15,340’), Cloud Forest, Trek through old Moraine camp, Overnight: Collpapampa Camp (9,700’).

Day 7: 6 miles, 4 hours. Lucmabamba (7,000’). Hike part of Incan Trail. Overnight camp. Overnight Lucmabamba Camp.
Day 8: 6 hours, 5.5 miles, Lucmabamba to Llaqtapata (9,000’). See back side of Machu Picchu. Hike to train station. Overnight Inkaterra Hotel
Day
9: Tour of Machu Picchu. Huayna Picchu (optional)
Day 10: Cusco Departures. Enjoy free time shopping and exploring the town until your flight home.
